Privacy

Instant tools run on your device. The instant stencil, the instant lettering preview and the classic try-on are made by code running in your browser. The images you choose for them are not uploaded, stored or seen by us.

AI tools. When you press a button that uses AI, what that tool needs is sent through our server to our AI provider, fal.ai: the words you typed, and a reduced copy of the pictures you added for that tool. For the tattoo filler, only the shape you drew is sent, not the photo you traced over. We do not store what you send, and we instruct the provider not to keep the request. The picture the AI makes is saved to your account (see below).

Your account. The AI tools need an account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk (clerk.com), with Google or a code sent to your email. We keep your email address, name and profile picture, your credit balance and a record of how credits were added and used, and the pictures the AI made for you, so you can open them on any device. Delete a picture in My Ink and it is removed from your account too. So that each person gets the free picture once, we keep a one-way scrambled form of the IP address and of a browser identifier used when an account was made; neither can be turned back into the original. Clerk sets the cookies that keep you signed in, and we set one that marks this browser for that rule. Credit packs are sold by Waffo (waffo.ai), which takes the payment, handles tax and emails the receipt; we never see your card. We keep a record of each purchase: the pack, the price and Waffo's order number.

My Ink. The pictures you make are saved in your own browser, on your own device, so they are there when you come back. You can delete any of them in My Ink, and clearing your browser data removes them from this browser.

No tracking. The instant tools need no account, and this site does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Visit counts. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites. It tells us which pages are used, not who you are.

How long we keep things. Your account, saved AI pictures and credit history stay until you delete them or the account, which you can do on the Account page at any time. Purchase records are also kept by Waffo, as the seller, for its own legal and tax duties.

Hosting. Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages keep short-lived technical logs such as IP address and browser type. They are used to keep the site running and are not combined with anything else.

If this changes, this page will say so first.
